Recently, the Starliner successfully completed a round-trip Orbital Flight Test (OFT) to the International Space Station and returned to Earth. With this success, NASA has selected its first crew for the spacecraft.
NASA announced that Suni Williams, Butch Wilmore, Scott Tingle, and Mike Fincke will fly the Crew Flight Test (CFT-1) when the Starliner is ready to launch again. All of the astronauts in this crew have been to the International Space Station before, and they are excited to go back.
It’s an exciting time for NASA astronauts as more commercial spacecraft become available to take them into space and beyond.
