To achieve global air superiority, the U.S. needs a diverse fleet of fighter jets that bring different capabilities to the table. That includes the next-generation F-15EX.
The F-15EX can carry up to 30,000 pounds of air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons, making it a necessary partner for the stealth F-35 fighter jet, which has a lower weapons capacity. The F-15EX a formidable asset with an air-to-air combat record of 104-0.
Colonel Jack Jackson (USMC Ret.) noted in a recent op-ed for RealClear Defense that the F-15EX “is the tactical fighter that provides the payload, range, and speed” necessary for success. In order to take on emerging and continuous foreign threats and win, the F-15EX must be included in our fighter fleet.
