When the first non-test pilot from the U.S. Air Force to fly the T-7A Red Hawk touched down in the California desert, he declared that the jet flew “like a dream.” It also began a new chapter for pilot training in the United States.
The observation came from the commander of the U.S. Air Force’s Air Education and Training Command, and it is a reflection of the teamwork behind the T-7A for the next generation of military aviators who will learn to fly it.
The Red Hawk is currently in robust flight and ground testing as the early stages of production are beginning in Missouri.
When fully integrated, the T-7A Red Hawk, with its state-of-the-art ground-based training system simulators will provide the Air Force a flexible and digitally focused platform, to safely and effectively train its pilots for decades to come.
