In an exclusive interview with Fox Business, Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg said tax reform is essential to energizing U.S. economic growth.
The current 35 percent corporate tax rate handicaps American companies trying to compete in the global economy and stifles job creation at home. Muilenburg spoke about the benefits tax reform would bring to the U.S. economy, including:
1. Leveling the playing field with foreign competitors who enjoy a lower tax rate.
2. Boosting small- and medium-sized businesses throughout Boeing’s — and other manufacturers’ – supply chain. Boeing alone employs 1.3 million Americans through its supply chain.
In addition to tax reform, Muilenburg also spoke about the importance of fair international trade and how Boeing welcomes competition when everyone plays by the same rules.
