The Royal Australian Air Force recently deployed an E-7A Wedgetail aircraft to support various military operations in Eastern Europe.
The E-7 is an Airborne Early Warning & Control system, which scans the skies, enhances communications with those on the ground, and gives those who fly it an operational advantage across all parts of the battlefield. The Wedgetail, named for an Australian eagle, is in service with Australia, the Republic of Korea and Turkey, and in development for the United Kingdom and U.S. Air Force.
