The Chinook helicopter has a long history of serving American servicemen and women. The Army’s heavy-lift workhorse has served as the main supply and troop transport aircraft since the 1960s. It has evacuated American service members, supported combat missions, and helped deal with humanitarian disasters like floods and hurricanes around the globe.
