Tell Congress to Prioritize F-15EX

The United States Air Force (USAF) has stated its desire to acquire more F-15EX fighter jets as part of its recapitalization effort to modernize its fighter fleet, but budget constraints have forced the USAF to prematurely end production. That leads to shortfalls in the USAF fighter force structure that will leave our warfighters vulnerable to our adversaries. Congress must make continued production of F-15EX a priority in its annual defense bills.

As your constituent, I urge you to support our service members by fully funding 24 F-15EX aircraft in FY25 program and adding Advanced Procurement to keep this fighter line alive.

The Air Force is smaller today than at any time in our nation’s history and is at risk of decreasing further as aging F-15C/D/E Eagles and A-10 Warthogs are retired. The F-15EX is critical to prevent the loss of these combat squadrons and avoid capability gaps that no other fighter in the Air Force inventory can fill.

The F-15EX has an unbeaten air-to-air combat record. It can carry nearly 30,000 pounds of weapons — more than any other fighter jet. These advantages combine to make the F-15EX survivable and lethal against the constantly evolving capabilities of our adversaries – all at much lower operating cost than other current fighter jets.

At a time when the Air Force is fighting a readiness crisis, the F-15EX is the only option to replace retiring fighter aircraft without rendering combat squadrons unable to deploy for years at a time as units transition to new aircraft. The F-15EX is designed specifically to use existing Air Force buildings, parts, and tools to minimize costs and ensure that our fighter units are always available to deploy in defense of our nation.

Our national security and the safety of our deployed troops depends on the Air Force’s ability to guarantee global air superiority. Please protect against further cuts to Air Force readiness and capabilities by supporting full funding for the F-15EX.
