A safe and efficient transportation system is critically important to our Puget Sound economy and quality of life.  I’m writing today to express my strong support for the Everett Link alignment as passed by the voters in 2018.
 
The Everett Link alignment is the clear preferred alignment over any other Sound Transit Link Light Rail alternative into Everett, providing a multitude of benefits. The Everett Link alignment connects the regional transit network to the largest job center in Snohomish County and connects the historically underserved and under-represented populations of South Everett to the regional transit system.
 
The Everett Link also connects to the portion of Snohomish County with higher forecasted population and jobs while providing greater station location options, which in turn supports urban growth and transit oriented development. What’s more, the proposed preferred alignment also provides better support for Paine Field Airport’s projected growth of 4 million passenger boardings in the next 20 years. Above all, the Everett Link alignment is the only alignment that respects the will of the voters, responding to local community wants and needs.
 
I strongly urge you to adopt the Everett Link alignment as passed by the voters.
