Two essential defense programs and the Americans who build them need your support.

The CH-47F Block II Chinook and the V-22 Osprey provide critical capabilities that support our warfighters at home and abroad. The CH-47 Chinook is the unbeatable heavy lift helicopter for the Army and operated by a total of 20 nations around the globe. Funding supports critical advances that allow it to increase maximum gross weight and will enable the aircraft to incorporate more capable engines in the future. The V-22 Osprey is the only tilt-rotor aircraft in the Department of Defense's arsenal that can support the F-35C engine mission to the carrier, yet the military continues to be several aircraft short of its required needs.

Both of these vital programs support more than 47,000 jobs and more than 700 suppliers in 44 states. Without your continued support, the Chinook and Osprey production lines could be forced to close their doors. The impact would be felt by our troops and by state economies throughout the country. During these challenging times with ever-escalating global security threats, it's not a question of can this Nation afford more, it's simple fact that we cannot afford less. Please fund an additional $229M for the CH-47F Block II program and an additional $500M for the V-22 program in Fiscal Year 2023.
