The U.S. Navy recently committed to acquiring 39 CMV-22 Ospreys, marking the first time the service branch will use the futuristic looking aircraft. The move will help modernize the Navy’s ability to transport people and cargo from shore to aircraft carriers, making the process faster and more efficient.
Military and commercial aircraft manufacturing supports and sustains hundreds of thousands of good paying jobs all over our country. For example, the V-22 Osprey helps support about 4,000 direct and indirect jobs located in Pennsylvania where the aircraft’s fuselage is manufactured.
