I am writing to emphasize the critical importance of securing funding for 12 Apache aircraft in Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26). This investment is essential to prevent the closure of the Apache remanufacturing production line, which would have detrimental effects the 46 states that host supplier companies contributing to this vital platform. Our company, <COMPANY NAME>, based in <CITY>, <STATE> would be one of the suppliers affected by potential lack of support in FY26. The AH-64 Apache stands as the most sophisticated and reliable attack reconnaissance helicopter globally. Currently, it is in its second multiyear contract, with 570 Echo models successfully delivered to the U.S. Army through a remanufacturing process that offers substantial savings for taxpayers. An additional 120 aircraft are under contract, with final deliveries scheduled for 2028. However, after that point, there are no further procurement funds allocated for the Apache, which would lead to the closure of the remanufacturing line for the U.S. Army. A modernized Apache represents the future of Army aviation and addresses the capability gap created by the cancellation of the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft program in a cost-effective way. It leverages insights gained from the conflict in Ukraine by enhancing manned-unmanned teaming and Launched Effects technology, while ensuring that a pilot remains integral to the decision-making process, thereby safeguarding ground forces and effectively engaging high-value targets. Maintaining the remanufacturing line at a minimum sustaining rate will provide the Army with the necessary time to determine the future of aviation, all while supporting a robust supplier network across 46 states and sustaining approximately 30,000 jobs. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. Your support is crucial for the continued success of the Apache program, the workers at our company, and the economic well-being of our community.
