America’s Flagship Tanker

Refueling tankers help aircraft to fly further and project force longer distances during conflicts. These aircraft will grow in importance as we prepare for a new era in international warfare.

The KC-46 is the U.S. military’s flagship tanker. It’s set to be the future of America’s aerial tanker force.

It has an extended range of 7,600 miles, can sustain up to 395,000 lbs. at take-off, and is compatible with over 20 different aircraft in the U.S. and Allied fleets. Importantly, it is the only tanker that meets the Air Force’s current operational and certification requirements and has a U.S.-based supply chain.

As the United States faces potential military confrontations in the Pacific, the KC-46 will be one of the most important aircraft in the U.S. fleet. It will keep our service members in battle longer and deliver the capabilities necessary for mission success.
